here in Montana, we call them “Shooting Stars” I’m not really sure what it’s real name is : ))
i have some growing next to the creek by the pond. The base of the flowers looks like pewter, and the flowers drop their petals and turn into bright red berries !! I think they are beautiful.

Thanks for the info Karon, I was trying to think of a title for this work.
“Shooting Stars” is perfect for it, as it was taken with the sky as the background. Thankyou so much for stopping in :)
    Cheers

Looks like what we call deadly nightshade…the flowers turn into little black hard poisonous berries?I have a lot growing in the yard here.

  • Glenn Alderson replied

Wow! that dosn’t sound to nice, I wonder how they got that name. I wonder who first took a bite of those berries. Thanks for the info too, I’ll have to look into this.
    Cheers

hard to tell from this angle but i don’t think it’s a belladonna/nightshade as the flowers are the wrong shape, it looks like a type of orchid to me! good luck trying to find out, it’s very pretty whatever it is :)

No but I love the treatment of this – youve turned it into something that looks very alien. Great work.
