Thank you Sandy and Dawne. I went there in January with a Joseph Van Os tour – fabulous!!!! Can’t wait to go again. I had this image in my mind before I even got there, and then one day we were walking around the Upper Geyser Basin, and there he was. And that was just one of some 2500 images I shot that week.

another great capture Gary ! we were out in yellow stone and the Tetons back in 79 during the first gas crisis ! it was great no tourists and had the pic of any site !! always hoping to get back their one day, still daydream about that cross country trip, backpacked into the Tetons for 3 days, all film then but beautiful country, love America.

terrific capture, gary! did you guys travel around the park in a snow cat? what a wonderful winter experience!! was there in january, ‘07 with ron zimmerman.

Thanks Victoria. I was there with a Joseph Van Os tour. We had 2 snow coaches. Nice, comfortable, and relatively warm. I say relatively because we were so bundled up that we didn’t want to sweat, and also didn’t want condensation to form on our equipment. Fabulous tour! Mike Francis was the tour leader.

Congratulations Gary! Great composition on this. I was in Yellowstone the Winter of ‘07’ with Arizona Highways. Wouldn’t recommend them, but experiencing Yellowstone in Winter was a spectacular adventure. Again Congrats! Well deserved!
