Pinnacle Ridge with signature aspens; near Owl Creek Pass.
With heavy snow fast approaching, these splendid aspens and crags just south of the Silver Jack area show but two of the many seasons in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains (United States).
The photo was made using a Canon EOS-1V body, EF 35mm f/1.4L lens, and Fuji Velvia 100 film.

Thanks for the lovely comment, Steve. You are right: Colorado is an amazing state. It’s big, it’s beautiful, and it’s surprisingly diverse. The challenge (and fun) as a photographer is to try to capture it all in a way that is worthy of the landscape. Of course, this is impossible. We are doomed to defeat every time we break out the camera gear. I often tell people, “Don’t look at my photos; they’re worthless. Instead, come see Colorado for yourself!” Thanks again for your comment.
