Stamped on by Giants

Felt really small kneeling behind my tripod taking this shot. It felt as though the trees were looking down on me from a great height, like I was insignificant…...I kept waiting for a big tangled branch of a foot…..all gnarled and twisted…..to come crunching down on me without a moments notice….......

I love the colors, they add so much to the mood of this. The bareness of the trees against the stark harshness of the land with a background of sky looking ominously like spirits in flight. I love the way the gaps in the clouds, when looked at with imagination seem to hold faces. Well done, a photo that I could look at for hours and see something different every time.
