This is the first one I have seen…..I went on a hunt after reading Richard Veals journal post. I saw a Red Admiral on my budlia too but was too slow with the camera!

Have you been reading Practical Photography this month? Lovely detail and like how you got him to pose with the “I caught some nectar that was THIS big” pose too. Very rare to obtain (you must have asked very nicely). The depth is perfect with the retention of detail in the flutterby being superb.

You are too kind Rhana….I like these too….specially with chips ‘n’ salad! Trouble is it takes a whole bunch of ‘em to fill my man belly LOL..and as I have only seen one this year…..it fluttered away to live another day!
