Photograph & acrylic paint on canvas. 16×20″. This is a wedding gift for two friends. I was their photographer at their wedding in July 2010 so I took this digital image then. I desaturated it, printed it out, appllied it to the canvas using acrylic gel and then started aging it with acrylic paints.
Wow. Amazing. I thought maybe you added the frame and textures as digital layers. This is a much more tactile piece then. I’m curious as to what kind of frame it will reside in.
Hi FBD – no idea about the frame as I gave it as a gift without, figuring everyone has really different tastes in framing. I just figure I did the important part!
