The Window at Burg Rötteln

Gayle Dolinger

Newark, United States

Artist's Description

My great Grandmother x4 was born at Burg Rötteln. The castle of Rötteln in Lörrach, also called Röttler Schloss, lies in the extreme southwest of Baden-Württemberg, and sits on a wooded hilltop (422 m) visible for miles around.
The castle ruins lie on the cliff top of a steep eastern slope in the lower Wiesental.
This is a view looking from a window. I loved how the sun shone through the window.
