I was hanging my clothes on the line
And I saw you
The sun shining through
My white sundress and taupe sparkle socks
And then you
Right in the middle of them
Holding out your hand
I almost tripped on the clothes basket
To grab hold of it
But I stopped myself
And then smiled
Cuz it wasn’t real, of course
And it was just too perfect to ruin
So we were together once again
Until a cloud came
To take you away
I stood there alone
Thinking of my long lost glass slipper
As the earth grabbed my ankles
Dragging me down to the dandelions
And I fell asleep
Half amused
In a fabric fresh scent memory
Of you
