Universal Dance
In the moment I wrote this it felt as though I was there.
I’ve seen it all in just a glance
Right before my eyes
A crystal clear like vision
The universe without disguise
I recognize its shape
As I would my own
It’s been with me forever
Beyond the pali-dome
I’m floating high above myself
With walls like see-through glass
I’ll fly to seek the knowledge
That awaits my underpass
For now a glimpse around the edge
Don’t go too deep or far
Or the drums that beat the rhythm
Will tie you to a star
A bridge like vain
With light for blood
A pulse of shooting stars
A heart that beats forever
Beyond the planet mars
A universal body
That stretches on and on
Each molecule of light I’ve seen
That brightens up the dawn
I’ve seen the future and the past
And what lies in between
But I’ve never been this close before
Not even in a dream
The drums beat out the rhythm
Till your body’s in a trance
Which sets your spirit free
For The Universal Dance
