The Fawn And The Pit Bull by

“Powder”…. my American Pit Bull Terrier say’s, “Yes….I see the fawn Mom. It’s just munching on some little wild cherries. No worries.”
Powder would let the deer get very close to her when they came around last year. I was amazed by this and got as many pictures as I could. This is just one of many I took out in my yard in Amherst, Virginia. We can learn alot from animals. Taken with my Canon Powershot SX110 IS

Ginny this truly amazes me, the fact that he lets the deer get that close. I used to own pit bulls many years ago, and although we never had a problem with people, kids, or our own animals including cats, other animals they hated and we would have to be very careful not to let them near any. What a great dog you have !!! : )

  • Thanks so much Karen! I guess since the deer came to visit the yard just about every day, she thought of them as family. :))

Fantastic capture, Ginny!!! I love your interpretation of Powder’s thoughts. That is precisely what I see in his eyes and facial expression. Both are such beautiful animals! Great work!

  • Thanks so much Gene! I’m glad that’s what you see too. She really didn’t seem to mind them munching around her. lol I was in awe of it…and at first my shots were all coming out blurry….lol. I was so excited. :))
