This is a big yellow toad I found out in my backyard, in Amherst, Virginia, USA. I was walking in the leaves this past Fall and something moved. Well I was a little worried that it might be a snake….so I stood real still and looked around. Then it hopped. So I caught it and brought it in for a little photo shoot. I had already set up a spot with pumpkins and gourds for the puppies…so in the set he went. Needless to say…he was not too happy.
I did let him go back into the leaves when he was finished with his photo shoot. :)) Taken with my Canon Powershot SX110 IS

What a little beauty…..great shot Ginny!!!

  • Thanks Nori! I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder girl! LOL I’m glad you like him. Actually I think he is really a pretty toad and the color is awesome. But he wasn’t too happy to be having a photo shoot. He even squeeked a couple of times. :)) Poor thing. I let him go after….back where I found him.

I love frogs!!!! They can be very difficult to photograph. You did an awesome job here! I love his coloring. Instant fav for me!

  • Thanks so much Connie! They do love to hop! This one kept trying to hop out of the “set”…and he was squeeking a little too. Most of all he seemed so mad! LOL I let him go after the photo shoot back where I found him. He was happier then. :)) Thanks for adding him to your favorites!!
