This was taken at Mill Creek Lake in Amherst Virginia not too far from where I live, with my Cannon Powershot SX 110 IS. This is just a 5 minute drive for me. On the bank where I am standing it is already getting dark…but across the lake by the trees, the last light of the day is still shining. Such a beautiful place.

what a beautiful place to take pics too! this is lovely, it’d be nice to kick back and relax here..
It’s a great spot to take pictures and to relax. Sometimes there are too many people fishing and using the picnic table areas…but most of the time there is great solitude…like the evening I got this shot. All alone. :)) Thanks Kat!
