This was taken at the Virginia Safari Park in Natural Bridge Virginia, USA. I finally got to go again on Sunday (8-25-13) and got to see so many animals again. I was hoping to see some baby Zebras and I wasn’t disapointed. There were 3 little ones…this one pictured being the smallest. The Zebra along with most all of their non-preditors get to roam free on 180 acres of partially open and partially wooded land. There is winding dirt road that you drive through and can stop to take pictures. No getting out of the vehicle though. You just have to pull over to the right hand side of the road, and take them from the windows. The animals are used to people coming through and will come right up to the vehicle. If they don’t come up to you, they are not far off along the sides of the road. It’s a beautiful spot with mountain views all around. This little Zebra and the 2 others were so cute. I really wanted to get out and give them hugs. LOL But I’m not sure what the big ones would have thought about that. LOL And there were many of them. I did pat a couple of the big ones and one of the babies on the forehead. :))) That just made my day!
Taken with my Canon Powershot SX110 IS
BEST VIEWED LARGE. :))
Dedicated to all the Wildlife Mothers who bring these wonderful little ones into the world.
