The beach at South West Rocks town, via Trial Bay

Trial Bay, which is named from a ship that was wrecked near by, is the site of the ruins of the convict gaol.
At the entrance of the Macleay River and only a 35km scenic drive north of Kempsey, South West Rocks is situated approximately half way between Sydney and Brisbane.

thanks Liz after seeing beaches for years this has to be the best swimming ever, although I didn’t get to go in! Has the best caravan park too,right next to the beach,kangaroos grazing all over too, the convict ruins gaol is near by so sad and cruel punishments in their a life, I guess they didn’t get to appreciate their surroundings .

ooh thanks Gail, I haven’t been since ,um well 29 years ago…. and I only really saw the Gaol, it has to be one of the best swimming nooks ! being a wimp in the sea ,I wait until there’s no waves,, sad hey… this place would suit me here , had to get back home, so only stayed one night.
