WONDERFUL SCENE AND GREAT PALETTE SO RICH IN GREENS WELL DONE !lIZ

  • thanks Liz the greens are so soft not easy to decide what to use.I used a Ultra with Terre Verde and I guess whites and a bit of Yellow Ochre. Maybe better ones , but didn’t want to go out and buy more , must look in the colour chart. [I always find greens a challenge!] Probably LOl why I like the red centre !! ]

super dooper Ginny, I so wanted this shot when I was down there but friends in car, couldn’t keep stopping, things to do people to see places to go!

  • Hi Jenny when we were there the first time last October I was able to get out and paint a do some sketches, this time July, it was so cold and windy I mainly took photos as we drove along! and the windscreen was cracked and has stone chips too. I jumped out as fast as I could and took a lot of photos missed a lot of the storm as we couldn’t stop with the caravan behind . LOL people behind and the roads are very narrow. Frank tends to go off into the side roads so I loose the plot exactly where! We were in a hurry too to get to the free camping spot [um forget name starts with P ]

Enivea from here lived near , just moved so i may not get back . I did a lot of pics and stitched them together .Loved those tree patterns , I guess they are windbreaks.

like the palette on this one Ginny. Also the clouds are done very well.

  • Hi Jim thanks I tried to go for as it is. Each state in Oz, has a different colour,we here,Gold Coast Southern Qld. half way to the tropics, is very very very glary and colourful up North Qld in the tropics it is colourful but softer,.Southern states as you travel down to Victoria, it very soft, the sky is more pale Ultra Blue.and more rainy type clouds overcast. Lynda [below] is Southern her landscapes are softer. the Ocean each side are different also ,,bit all over this comment not in order …
