Outside the Old Canberra Parliament House. Australias Indiginous people who are protesting against their land being occupied by Parliament House camp despite the pouring rain. This photo isn’t clear because the rain was torrential. PLEASE VIEW LARGE
Thanks. This day ,the rain just poured down, first rain for 4 months, so the mage seems a bit blurry. but I just liked the concept .Nobody bothered to move out of it.
thanks Cathy and Paul. the first rain in Canberra for months. I have another pic here “Canberra in the dry” on our way there, but when we arrived it just came down in a torrent I could hardly see anything and my camera although fabulous, is not really the one for long shots.there was a huge camp too, tents, etc. just off to the right . Everybody was standing out in the rain didn’t seem to bother them at all.
Like the catch of the mobile home behind the demonstration, a clash of the freedom to travel that was the original issue with the old tribes moving across the land.
Many thanks clickinhistory ,it was just a lucky capture of course, but I was very pleased about it.Just a shame the rain was belting down for photography and them[the campers were looking very miserable] not the residents of the city much needed

I love politics and art – a powerful combination!
