Small A 4 Watercolour Painting on Arches Watercolour paper done around 1984 when only a few highrise bulidings were there on the horizon.I used to live right by here and spet many hours swimming each morning and afternoon passinate about these Gold Goast beaches the best in the world.

    This is nice Ginny, I guess you weren’t around when maybe there weren’t any high rises??

  • There weren’t any at all when we first came here in .‘61 then again to live in 1966.I think the tallest was 2 story.Interesting going through my old paintings how things have changed even the trees have grown and now obstuct what I used to see to paint , I’ll put up and older w/c of Tallebudgera creek someday ..

    you could stay in a motel overnight for $10…for miles and go camping at Tullebudgera youth camp. There was sometimes a rip.

  • Actually Gloria cheaper than that! In the 1970ies I worked in one and it was $8 a night double breakfast included, In 1961 we camped right next to Hedges Ave for nothing and washed nappies in the caravan sink and spread them out to dry on the sand grasses[well I did man of the house said not his job]
