I haven’t graduated to some of these yet! – I try to retire my ‘paint’ clothes from public, but still ruin the occasional good t-shirt. Fascinated by the one about the room – lying there thinking about how to capture the half-dark tones.. now there’s an inspiration in the making..

oh Jakki what about DOG HAIR too! and I used to used glitter on tee shirts and it would get onto watercolour paper , the framers had to check all the time as one speck would show up once the glass was on,and not easy to get rid of.

Me too Ginny … Sometimes the best part of a movie is how they decorated the sets. Especially when I see loose charcoal sketches framed, I think … gee .. I must get around to doing that.

Right now my house is an absolute mess as I am painting masks for a small two month exhibition that starts in September. I keep going off track and starting other works … acrylic paintings … pastels .. watercolours .. and for the first time – oils. Nothing I finish because the exhibition is my priority.

I have about ten masks completed and another 14 to go … plus I am working on a couple of canvases and if time – a full sculpture just for fun. I need to stay on track and stay off Red Bubble … but it is so addictive lol

re masks do you know Michael Taylors

Just quickly checked him out …. bugger ! He’s brilliant! I am not doing anything like that lol. Just traditional carnevale masks, photos and paintings. The only reason I am even doing it is because the owner of the art space has dreamed of hanging masks so I am making that dream come true.

Michael Taylor is amazing though .. thanks for the link.
