Kathie nice place to photo, go down the old side road to the back of Hinze Dam sometimes water there sometimes not very much A.boat ramp there too.Some cute little finches too if you can spot them, hiding in the long grass.

Oh excellent !!! And a temptation to brave the March flies again… yes it is good to “see” what one is painting – when I paint portraits I have to “see around the corners” of a person to feel confident of catching something of their personality as well as a likeness.

thanks David,I think the sky at the time dictated the colour it was a beautiful colour storm coming. I had to pack up as i only took pastel paper. and paper is not good in the rain!

thanks Lynda , I painted over another pic, so the paint is rather thick too.re the name Turtle Rock…... I thought it was Egg Rock but just found it’s not, I think it may be called Turtle Rock as there is one near by like it but will have to do more research . anyway not that it matters here….
