Watercolour Painting of Fingal Headland with the lighthouse close to
Northern New South Wales and Queensland border, I usually like a reasonable heavy weight paper 420 grm ,I like to do wet in wet using a very wide hake brush, not much masking liqued.. I have a large amount of unframed and framed works, but not many pics on here yet!

Have to admit that water colour is great for that sunny, bright look. This certainly reflects the warmth and feel of the clean (hot?) sand and the ocean at its best.

Now I’m wondering if this is the Fingal Bay Beach, which I assessed for Keep Australia Beautiful, the Clean Beach Challenge, in the Port Stephens area. (I was there on a more cloudy day.)

I love the shadows under the vegetation on the sand dunes, the rocks- you’ve suggested so much with so few strokes….and as everyone else has said….such a beautiful clean and fresh appeal.

Thanks Estelle sometimes it goes right! I love this paper 425 grams CP [not]full sheet bockingford, love this weight, just tape down and paint on it, doesn’t buckle. I bought a ream at the time, so much fun a whole cupboard full to work on.[25 sheets]
