    GloriaDK

Ginny all your pieces are lovely. i find personally it is good to get out and use pastel it is so quick .

  • Virginia McGowan replied

I did this up on the roof but it was sort of indoors I find I can’t use pastels out doors much, [although thinking about it right now, I have done a lot. ] as i have hundreds of bits and pieces and have them scattered everywhere! The last time I went out doors with pastels it started raining.. LOL hard on the paper ! I guess for a small work be easier..

  • Lynda Robinson

    Lynda Robinson

I just LURVE this one Ginny!!!!! What wonderful colours and fantastic ‘aerial perspective’!!! You do amuse me with your tales, and this is no exception! I can just imagine you on the roof!!!!

  • Virginia McGowan replied

thanks Lynda, well I got organised a bit, or maybe a lot by a well know Aussie artist there to judge a big art show he was;helping’ usualy i just plonk down as I arrive anywhere and he came along and put my easel into a possy so it wouldn’t wobble and set the paints up on the correct side , other wise I would have been all tangled up and not many good footholds up on the rough surface, it had layers of a sort of a heavy plasticy stuff ?? It needed and was being renovated…will find a pic one day….

  • Leslie Gustafson

    Leslie Gustafson

    bevmorgan

Glorious piece of work, Ginny. I love everything about it, but especially the wonderful mood you have created. Your colours and the sense of depth are truly amazing.

  • Virginia McGowan replied

Hi Bev i hesitated about this, thought maybe why it didn’t sell or raise any interest in shows as it’s really not the usual colours I use, I think I use mostly more bluey … [no answer required just chatting!!]

Well I have several artists on my watch list and even though many of their works a awesome few of them have a true DOF to them Yous definitely did and it was one of the factors that made it really jump out at me.
