Very moving work Gini, sad that someone did that….. Someone else had an image of the ‘replacement’ on here, but I can’t recall who or where, sorry (a photograph).... Wonderful depiction here! :)

  • Shylie Edwards

    Shylie Edwards

    very expressive!!!

  • Virginia McGowan replied

I used a canvas with a lot of old paintings on it! so it’s almost a metre thick [well I exaggerate a bit ….LOL] with paint now I used thickening gel … to sort of sculpture , only for my own fun but I usually paint only for me anyway! just to see what things will look like then paint over them later…. I only buy paint, not food you see !! hehehe

thanks Deb some silly so and so poisoned it ! don’t think they ever will work out why!! I saw it way back in 1968 and it was gorgeous actually lots of ghost gums around there, they are magnificent ..

    barnsis

    Excellent. Very well done.

  • Virginia McGowan replied

thanks Byron it doesn’t really show the impasto paint laind on with a knife. I only painted it for my own entertainment not for political purposes more too as a tree lover I can’t bear the thought of people poisoning trees. they do it a lot with the mangroves too atm if their view is being blocked ….
