thanks piclex , there was a small crocodile up stream..aparently! because I was short sighted I couldn’t see it, kids could! [did get glasses later]

thank barnsis there is a huige ridge over it now,when we crossed there was a croc swimming about, not that I could see it! I found out later I needed glasses, I had always been shortsighted.I just could never understand how others could see things I couldn’t.

thankyou Karen. there was small freshwater croc in the water just up stream a bit but me beeing very shortsighted at the time !! and didn’t know it!! I couldn’t see it, family could, [they just thought I was dense! ] and we were having a bit of a swim too. !

thanks BB at this time 1968, just this river crossing when I went there [Northern Australia] .. there were crocs in the river but being short sighted I couldn’t see them [actually exaggerate, there was only one] One is enough to eat people though !!!]anyway we did have a wonderful time paddling etc, These days there are signs up and there is a huge bridge too so this view is up the river ..
