Thanks Jeff. yes fantastic place, the tree ended up fallling down in the next storm, so I was lucky to get the image.

This painting brought back a lot of fond memories. That tree was sorely missed by many when it fell, it was sort of an icon in it’s way – lots of people had grown up with it. Family picnics, swimming, fishing etc. nearby. Beautiful work ginnymac!

thanks for commenting artlein, I was there too,one day when there was a big storm and the tree was in the water so I took some pics, the water was very messy a dark grey, I was so disapointed I couldn’t get out of the car to paint.
