reflector
Nice work Ginny ! A great vantage point and render of the scene.
Virginia McGowan replied
thanks James! really nice of you to say. when I was trying! yes trying to paint this on the spot ?? I had to keep moving out of peoples way so they could walk up the track so i gave up and did most at home.a lot of people get very aggro if you look like you are taking up more space. happened to me a few times some weird stories …..people deliberately sitting right in front of me when they could easily sit else where..
reflector
That sure is strange ! Most people would try to stay out of the way and be polite when passing.
kilmann
Great impressionistic touch.
Virginia McGowan replied
thanks Kilmann , nice comment. appreciate it.

Great work!!!
rightasrain
Lovely painting! How do you stay away from realism? I find that so hard – I get caught up in what I see but I’d really like to simplify.
Virginia McGowan replied
thanks. oh yes hard!! , I think I got cranky one day just couldn’t get things right and changed the trees to pink and it led from there.
I can’t get abstract at all though just can’t get my head around that all all!
rightasrain
The colours are lovely in this – the dappled light. Maybe that is the way to go – to change a colour and go from there as you say.

Stunning artwork, Virginia !!
Virginia McGowan replied 2 days ago
thanks George , this was absolute fun to do and I did one portrait first up just didn’t like it then turned it around and did this on top , so the paint is rather thick ,it took months actually as I kept adding bits…
Albert Sellaman 2 days ago
I’m sorry I missed the show in The Regional Art Gallery…...I pop in now and again but this time I didn’t go for about 6 months.
