Town of 1770 Mangroves

I love this work – I am about to start a very large painting of mangroves but it won’t be as colourful and friendly as this. I’m into dark and brooding at the moment LOL.. Your work is fabulous.

Thanks I was trying to get different! get cranky at times, so more colour! although I did this a couple of years ago,and it just sits around with nobdoy seeing it.Not quite game enough to present it in comps. yeah funny!! dark and brooding. I do those when I am happy , more colour more cranky??

These are just next to the Caravan Park, right on the beach ,[the council park,] I got some good photo’s too but did this from pencil sketch ,everybody lines up at dusk along the waters edge because of the magnificient sunsets coming over the water, not many Western sunsets over water in Eastern Australia.

Love your style, Ginny. This would look great in a beach house…just wish I had one….and the $2000 to buy this image:) Wonderful…makes me feel happy.

feel the texture on the mangroves. Brilliants colours, soft background. The top of tree’s a little of impressionism. Well done.

Very good. Can you really see the roots like this, or have you used artist’s licence?

ooh no Dave this is how they are when the tide goes out. vicious as the roots poin upwards and not good to wade amongst.
I have a photo here somewhere too. I’ll look for it.

I’ve seen mangroves in Florida and you’ve captured the feeling of the plant but have given them delightful charm besides.

thanks for the comment mrbpaints, in a mangrove forest it would beand is very difficult to progreess far, very mucky, these are just in nice clean sand.
