thanks Ruth yes I tend to use purple for shadows.Purple in watercolour paint is more gentle too than other mediums

aww so nice of you Soooz we went there last week and rather than putting up photos [your pic of there] is so much better I am re-photographing some older paintings , which have been stored

thanks Shirley I seem to use that particular green a lot! i used another in a pic once and the lady who wanted it asked me to redo it in this coulour …not easy copying a watercolour they have minds of their own.
