most of them are scary looking and take me right back to May Gibb’s big bad Banksia Men in the classic Snugglepot and Cuddlepie…..

thanks pat they are marvelous when they drop off the tree and you stand on one in bare feet. OUCH They grow mainly coastal areas, or this species does.

ooh lovely deb, I planted one 20 odd years ago, I must check don’ tink it did any good, we mainly have gums. I think some monterias have taken over the spot.

well I hadn’t actually I was sitting underneath trying to sketch in w/c the waterways but got bored or impatient as it wasn’t working so did some photos instead.
happy if you ever want to use my pics. I am not here to make my fortune! so no hassles the worlds a big place, room for all!
Be interesting to see different versions/styles.
