Endeavor the Archipelago
Cast upon an ancient and unchartered ago
Well within the very present and intended
Awash with warm impermanence
To attempt dissuade the innocence
Temperament
Licentiousness
Acquiescent to my nature…my de jure
As the tides collide yet decide
The equal weight of space and time
And they remind
While unguarded and ill-prepared
Deliberation to affair
Was no one spared?
To dare submission unaware
Do not enter…Beware the square
As it preys upon each beat
Escrow is exposed
Incomplete
Surrender your receipt
Indiscreet
And so…
Unto the great dark wall, witness the peril
Witness the fall
Answer the windswept trees as they call
To what degree the debris
Cast vitriol
God bless them, one and all
Endeavor the Archipelago
Lay down your ego, as you go, to a sacred shore
And face your need for more, before
You gather your ability to brave the tedium
Price premium
As the factories shut down, one by one
Buildings boarded along streets subdued
Subjugated yet astute
But for a few grassroots
Holding fast and true, creating anew
Lives devoted to
Still I had to leave…so great my need
For a quality of life it could not be
And so to abandon
The desolated heartland, once grand
And those left to believe
So the future might see…another era of the dream
