Art! All it takes is a little bit of smearing, dabbing, smudging or blending our mediums to create textures, layers or interesting patterns that first have to excite us, the artist. Then, my goal is to force the viewer to see my paintings as an artistic statement in themselves.
I love finding and experimenting with new (to me) and exciting techniques and mediums. Acrylic is my first love with spray paint (from cans … not airbrush) as a close second. In addition to canvas, other materials I use are masonite, linen, glass and sheets of acrylic. I’ve been known to paint on almost anything including foamboard and ceiling tiles.
I appreciate all the viewings and comments from my peers and apologize that I’m slow to respond. My reason or excuse is that I still have a Dial-Up connection and it takes forever to load, then navigate through the site. Not the site’s fault, just slow connections on this end. Maybe someday I’ll get up to speed.
Other works of mine can be viewed at: www.freewebs.com/gingerjar and also www.Artwanted.com/arttoyou
