The little Burrowing Owl would not leave his safe spot, so I decided to try and get a sneak shot of him, this is from a small burrow right across the street by my home in Cape Coral Florida, I am going to try and make friends with them, so they will not be afraid of me, soon we shall see babies, hopefully if they do not get disturbed by animal nor human. Thank you for stopping in and looking at my owls, I have been photographing these little guys for about 6 yrs now, I have learnt alot of their characteristics, one burrow I watched for 3 yrs and still go and see them from time to time, I like sitting with them and talking with them so they can get used to me being there and this way they allow me to get closer and allow their little ones to come out while I am there. Such fickle creatures, if your not careful, they will attack they hiss and screech before they attack to warn you, if they do go after you they will go for the eyes first, although I have seen them hiss, I know when to leave them alone, you get to know these signs when you are around them long enough. enjoy and thanks for any comments.
