Can’t you see that I am here?
Waiting for your acknowledgement of me,
Do I not exist in this vast darkness?
Or is it my solitude that eludes you?
Can’t you feel my loneliness, even when I stand near you?
Open your eyes and see me.
See me for who I am, don’t just touch my hand.
Reach out and touch my spirit,
I am longing for your approval.
For once, can’t you see that I am here?
Listen with your heart and not just your ears.
I have waited and waited, and yet you pass me by.
Why, can’t you just see?

Powerful writing ! Well depicted in the art! Which came first?

  • I added the smaller one to the top one, because she looks to be waiting in the shadows, the one in red is the angry one because she wants to be noticed, so its sort of a battle of wills, although both are in fact the same person wanting the same thing, the acknowledgement of the person whom she has spent her life trying to prove that she in fact is there and loves, even though she knows deep inside it will never happen no matter how much she wants it to be so, whew that took alot of brain cells lol.
thanks so much for the compliment

Interesting, for my art, the words do not flow easily!
