Narrow Neck to Echo Point
A beautiful misty sunrise, in the glorious Blue Mountains!
Taken South-West of Katoomba along Narrow Neck Ridge. Aligned perfectly with the sun rising directly over the three sisters, and echo point at the southern end of Katoomba. Although they are not recognisable here, they are hiding in the glare! The tall pines are probably the biggest give away!
I hope you like the shot, I battled the cold to capture this one :)

A beautiful image. Bending the rules (horizon, sun in the middle) make this image work so well.
Nicholas Kremer replied
Hi Frank :) It’s so true! I had two attempts at this shot. One centred and the other not. It was this version that was framed the best with the tree etc. Thanks for the comment :P

”... battled the cold …”? How cold was it?
Nicholas Kremer replied
About 4ºc + wind chill from what I remember! Cold for that time of year, that’s all!
Cold enough to make my finger completely numb! I’m sure you experience lower temps than that in the UK?

Great shot Nicholas! It’s amazing how disorientated you can become looking at photos such as these – still struggling to picture where you were and where you were looking!
Nicholas Kremer replied
Ahh yes :) It’s just south of Katoomba… I’ll send you a note with the location :)
