The past week I have been in the tropical paradise of Cairns visiting my older son .
Didnt know the floods would get that bad but it had everyone worried .We are up high in Bris but my younger son at home was obviously pretty stressed as was everyone down here .The view coming back in the plane showed the extent of mud and debris ( unmoored boats etc )floating in the bay .They reckon the shops are empty at the moment with everyone having stocked up so that should be a reality i have yet to face .
Anyway I am fine and well .

Thanks Byron and at least the clean up has started and people are losing their sense of powerlessness and are getting moving again…
