It was a dull overcast day so most of my photos were lacking that zing that comes from good light. The area we were walking around didn’t seem to be a particularly rich hunting ground for good images. A slightly earlier photo of this scene gives you an idea of how uninteresting the environment was. All this shot required was walking a little further, seeing the reeds from this angle and then framing the shot without any of the surrounding crap.
