Artist's Description

The Captain`s House in the corner of the harbour in Pittenweem, in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland, was built in the 17 century for Captain James Cook who took Charles 11 to France after his defeat at the battle of Worcester in 1651.

Its a very pretty corner of a busy harbour, and photographers and painters can often be seen jostling for the best position.

Taken with a Nikon D90
This is an HDR image – 3 bracketed shots merged and tone-mapped in Photomatix Pro, given a painterly effect, and tweaked in CS5
