Hey Gilli…. this have something of Escher on it!!
Andit is not in detriment… the idea of this paradoxical avenue of perspectives is great. Sometimes it forces us to se Life and events from different points of view…and even adapting our sensitive organs and center.
I love it!

I love Escher;-) maybe I was influenced in a way, can’t remember… it’s more about the question of “does it lead anywhere?” than about optic games, though…
Really glad you love it, Rosa!xx

Yes… that’s the question.
And the answer is yes….
anything can lead to any…where.Depending on the postition we are, or the position that “anything” is… but afterwards there is que second question…is it necessary to go to ….anywhere?...I remember something of human behaviour.
It seems that the brain would have to be “intelligent” enough as to drive us from what it is a real peril to our being, in any stance.. but it is not, pleasure driving, or customs, or wahtever are stronger many times, so…we insist on going to anywhere, even it is not easy, or right or adviceble as as in your work, we even find such obstacles that defy our own sense of belonging to this perspectieve in Life… and though some loose their lives, or souls trying to overcome stubbornly the obstacle, of seeing things “upside-down”...marking this as a signal for going….instead of stopping. And stopping is an option clearle signalled by your Trekkie…and igniting his “fifth sense” rather than being conducted by easy stepping.I love it…Escher is like the artist of the “impossible possibilities”
A hug for you.

Gili Orr replied
yep… I have questioned climbing, questioned a lot of what people tend to do, driven by societal forces, peer pressure, need for approval, need to be “good enough”, better than others, the best… but people need challenges, meaning, reasons to get up in the morning… lots of what happens in life is a story we tell ourselves… I did some climbing at times, but mostly I just stand there and watch – myself, others, nature… climbing is not bad, as long as you don’t climb on bodies, on the expense of others, but I am aware that it’s only a sort of game, that getting to the top gives a moment of glory and some nice memories… life is leading nowhere, it’s the here and now and the next moment… for me, understandings (gaining some wisdom), inner growth, better self-expression, simple joys
these are the real things. It doesn’t have to be like that for others, of course;) Oh, on the other hand, I didn’t mean to ignore some what you said… yes, every road we take leads somewhere – it just may not lead to where we thought it would, but being rigid about where it should go may blind us to the benefits of where it does go, despite our initial goal…RosaCobos
Oky!!!
So nice to talk about all this with you.

Congratulations on your SOLO!! I love this piece…...the feeling of apprehension is so apparent. And I love the back pack!! Just keep going…...don’t look back!! lol
Gili Orr replied
Glad you noticed the backpack;-) Yep, keep going – but is it leading anywhere?! Is the climbing only for the sake of later going or rolling downhill? Better not ask too many questions, eh…
