“EMPTY SADDLES” statue, meant “As a faithful memorial and in fond memory, the riders of El Viaje de Portolá herein honor their fallen compadres”.

Photo taken on the grounds of Mission San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, California, in the beginning of December 2008, with my Canon PowerShot S5 IS camera. It was then manipulated in ACDSee to give a somewhat sadder or “ghostly” feeling.
