I GOT TO SAY IF THIS SOFTWARE WERE AVAILABLE IN PICASSO DAYS, WHO KNOWS…

  • Gili Orr replied

Yeah, who knows… guess he would have lots of fun, too… and you don’t have to deal with paints and other messy stuff. In fact, you don’t ever have to get out of bed, with this kind of art…

    How did you do this?

  • Gili Orr replied

Hard work… ;-) just playing with a few tools… I use some effects in ACDSee, after making my sort of drawing in photoshop with the pen tool.

    Great, very creative indeed !

  • Gili Orr replied

Thanks, Sylvia! Basically, I am a doodler, just do sketchy drawings and expand on them. Now I do it with computer programs, both the drawing and the expanding, which gives lots of new possibilities.

That is fantastic! a modern day picasso

  • Gili Orr replied

Oops, you are the second one to say something like that;-) Or did you read all comments first? lol. In the last years I hardly seem to draw people as wholes, they just come as incomplete creatures under my fingers, or at times just parts of beings…. found it very annoying at first, but these days I accept it as a phase…. especially as others seem to respond more favorably than I do to this phenomenon. In short: no imitation of Picasso was ever intended, though I am flattered by the comparison, of course.

I did not read earlier comments, but when I first saw the image, it straight come to mind.

I just could imagine that this could have been easily a Picasso.

  • Gili Orr replied

If he only left his signature here, I would be settled for life… and my wife and my sister too, I guess ;) Maybe i should look at his art more… perhaps there is some unconscious influence. I love his drawings more than his paintings… or used to, many years ago. perhaps my taste changed. Sorry, I soemtimes talk too much :(

I wonder if this is all made with digital tools. Meaning programms and so…
Anywqay… it has such a force. Showing a vehicle of emotions, and paralizing the time in one moment of bliss. I see that the male couple is od dark skin and the female, so I can feel has been practically “electryfied in all her pores”. White is the aspect of full light…but in this case she is like is having an “orgasm”.

Interesting reading of my art, as always;-) You may be right…. About how it was made – yep, from start to finish, all inside my computer… but I do breathe in my soul…
