Ink drawing on paper.

I uploaded this image earlier, after photographing it and processing in Photoshop. This time I scanned it in my home scanner, half after half (this original is luckily small enough for that) and merged in photomerge (PS). This process was suggested by April, and I am thankful to her for that xxx.
The first uploading probably has its own merits, but I prefer to stay close to the original….

Wonderful drawing – it takes so much more to draw then to push the button LOL

  • Gili Orr replied

Thanks, Michael! Yes, a drawing like this is a complex combination of things put into it – my hidden inner world of thoughts, feeling, memories and subconscious stuff, plus letting go and just letting something come up and going with it, plus a lot of hadwork on little details… Certainly more put into any of my drawings than into a photo I take. Still, some photos are as strong as a drawing – Nature is a wonderful creation and contains a lot of marvellous art, which you don’t have to work for, just open yourself to see and enjoy – and copy and share through pushing a button ;-)

I really cannot write much about it,
for it is filling my whole soul.
And is attracting me in such a way…
I do not know what I like most.
But I see that it is very important
and interesting the way that the girl’s hair and the syrange dog’s tail are conected, both rooted into the earth, as if uniting their ehergies of the animal kind… and the earthly energies. The creature seems to yield to the girl, under the quiet look of a sort of God or fatherly face…It all remembers me too, the Eden.. and the scolding to the poor Eve, after she noticed that there was something more than “sex” around them.
    Rosa (impressive, Gilli…. precious)

  • Gili Orr replied

Thank you so very much, Rosa! I apreciate you reflections about it. I never know myself all that is hidden in my drawings, I just have my own interpretations according to the mood I was in and what happened in my life. But it usually goes much further, has many layers of meaning, since it comes like automated (automatic?) writing, my hand is guided through it, flowing on the paper with a will of its own. I only work consciously on perfecting the details, the shadowing etc., later on.

    That is true inspiration…..
Yes…we are all blessed by it.
Inspiration is not meant to satisfied the inspired..
but to fill the vacuum of the rest.
For me it is a sort of Enlightment..
    something to share with others…
that will help them to evolve into a real huma being

Impressive drawing. I was drawn to this image of yours – and actually find it quite disquieting which is weird. I don’t know – the animal’s tail disappearing into the earth – the woman’s hair becoming th earth – and the man just looks on. Odd sensation. Powerful drawing.
