So i’ve dipped my toe into the shallow end and uploaded a couple of pics. I’m hoping to have some more (better) ones coming over the next week or so as I slowly go through the archives and optimise some stuff for high-res viewiing and printing.
Now that I’m out west and don’t have access to ADSL2, the “broadband” upload speed of 128kbps really sucks big time when you’re putting 1MB+ files up to the web. Otherwise, the upload seems pretty seemless. I’d love some kind of multiple upload form, or a Flickr-style Uploadr app so I can just queue up all the photos in one go then walk away and forget about it while they tranfer.

We are sort of a bit reluctant to build this as a first priority (although a few people have asked for it). Main reason is priorities and related to this is that we want people to be pretty selective about what they upload – as you have been with some great photographs. Because we dont have advertising on the site we are dependent on a fair proportion of people uploading good/great images and being able to sell them. We want our artists to select from their own work what they think is good.
(There is also a bit of a hack – open multiple browsers and upload in them at the same time.)

Yeah, I can see the sense in that.
I guess I’m just impatient! The multiple-windows idea is a good one though. Thanks for the tip.

Hey Gil, welcome to bubble! the multiple windows thing works, but I agree with Pilgrim that being selective and discriminating is important on bubble – i’ll be keep ing my gallery in pretty high rotation – only having a smallish number on for sale at any one time. Hope this will keep my gallery a bit more interesting
