Compton Abdale is a small village in the Cotswolds near the historic spa town of Cheltenham. There is a 13th Century Church with unusual gargoyles, a theme continued with this crocodile gargolye used to channel a small stream.

Wonderful shot, great composition and a lovely flow of water.
I LOVE this shot!! This is unlike so many waterfall shots in that combines both human and natural elements beautifully. Love the old stone wall and the gargoyle pipe from which the water flows, and then to see it cascade down in a natural way.. Oh man. Great work!! Great shutter speed too!!

Hi Giles, I was so inspired by your picture of this well that I wen’t and found it today and weaved some of my photoshop magic on it. There was a lot less water in it than your pic, so I will haveto go back after its rained a lot! Thanks for sharing this as I would never know it existed!
