If the flowers were fresh… then the meaning would be flawless…they are withered and impregnated the room with their special scent… I adore it… and the statued not ready enough to kneel in meditatio or worship, not ready for departing …is the speeching soul of of the moment… but the flowers show more compassion… and they do not need to pray..for they are prayer altogether…and all of themselves..
Beautiful…Gilberte… I just did not have to look for the artist’s name.. I already saw you when it appeared in my stream…

    G’day Gilberte!

Oh dear! Buddha would be very upset with you m’dear. The figurine is Krishna. (You can tell by the blue skin and Indian headress).

Apart from that little faux pas you have made a cracker of a still life with the elements very well arranged, the scene nicely lit, the exposure spot on, good depth of field right into the subject and a good sharp focus.
The contrast is very well controlled and the colours are very rich and pleasing.
Once again you have made very good use of fabric and I really like the ancient gold of the statuette and the modern silver of the jug.
    A delight to view!

    Dennis

  • Gilberte replied

Thank you Dennis..I would not like Buddha to be upset with me and I’ll quickly change my title. I am glad I endly know the name of my figurine.
Also thank you for adding “Krishna” to your favorites and giving such an elaborate description of my pic.
I don’t think my jug will be upset with you but let me tell you it isn’t modern silver..it is antique pewter!!!
Our ancestors, not being dirty people, cleaned their domestic utensils.I kept the tradition .When you clean good quality pewter, it gets the shine of silver (more or less)
Some people don’t clean it;.they think it looks more antique. But antique doesn’t mean dirty. After length of time, pewter turns black
It is not very rejoycing when you have much.

    Thanks again
