Devon Washout
A week’s holiday in North Devon should have yielded a host of photographic opportunities… but the weather had other ideas – although a few good sunsets were grudgingly provided by Mother Nature as small compensation for battering me all day with wind and rain.

The weather in the UK may not be the best for the time of year but it did mean that there was some snow on the Cumbrian Fells. There was just enough to pick out all the gullies and folds in the land without making everything look white and blank. It also meant that I could climb a couple more mountains and get some shots from the top.

Back from Wales
Just back from a week in North Wales. I was hoping to take the camera up some mountains but the weather was so awful that there was very little point. At lower altitudes I managed to get a few good shots – and the rain meant that the waterfalls were spectacular!
First Sale!
Sold my first two pictures today! It gives a buzz out of all proportion to the small amount of money involved… many thanks S & R – you know who you are!
Back Catalogue
Well, I’m getting towards the end of loading my “back catalogue” of photos. It’s been fun browsing through them all again and picking out which ones to upload (quite a challenge when it comes to the Lake District because I always click away like mad when I’m in the Lakes!).
Next week I’m off to Snowdonia so if the weather is kind hopefully I’ll have a few more to add when I get back!
