P
Present
No not the kind with a tag and a bow
But a man and woman of God standing firm on their posts
Holding on tight, teaching by example not to let go
Pressing toward the mark for the prize, refusing to blown to or fro
Regardless of how strong the storm!

A
Approachable
Ready to receive during the day or the night
Willing to bare others burdens, even if overwhelmed or the timing’s just right
Greeting with hugs and smiles, beaming forth God’s unstoppable light
Sending us off with a prayer, asking Him to lead us down a path that is bright
Selflessly encouraging the body of Christ!

S
Sincere
Real enough to stand before the congregation and cry
Admitting at times even they turn to God asking, “Why?!”
Then no sooner, jokes funny enough to bring tears to the eye
Reminding us with their lives that we must press ‘til we die
True authenticity!

T
Teaching
Bringing God’s word to the congregation four times a week
Coming straight from the Bible-only the Lord’s word will they speak
Proclaiming, “Obedience Breaks Every Yoke”
And “Now faith” is what we must seek
Sending us to scripture where He confounds the strong using the weak
Showing themselves approved

O
Obedient
Being a hearer and doer, working solely to please Thee
First thing you see from the door is a man on his knees
Behind him his wife praying, “Let this event be not about me,
Because then how will the flock learn to give God the Glory?”
Heavenly Focus!

R
Righteous
Making a point to speak the truth but in love
Standing still or making moves based on a word from above
Depending on the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, symbolized by the dove
Blameless in God’s eyes because of Christ’s sacrificial blood
Redeemed!

S
Servants
Actions speak louder than words
Running a love ministry not taking what they deserve
Bold yet humble; helping ladies to the curb
Stepping out of God’s perfect will…wouldn’t dare have the nerve
Modeling Mathew 20 faithfully, the 26th verse
Finding greatness in servitude!

Present, Approachable, Sincere, Teaching, Obedient Servants by far. Sit back and see your fruit…PASTORS that’s what you are!
