Calendar up Close by Soxy Fleming

Posted on November 28, 2008

Here is the place to scroll through all the images on the Sonate Calendar at big size. Hope you enjoy them! I certainly got a big buzz from making them all. All pieces have been made in the manner of traditional collage, with scissors and glue, recylced sheet music and magazines.

That’s a lot of pictures!

“We are grateful that Ms. Fasslebinder continued to produce a full calendar with works initially created individually as an amusing exercise in traditional collage.

“Each work presented here stands alone, yet the cooking / food theme is in keeping with music as food for the spirit as well as a clever and sumptuous setting for these gems, thus creating a cohesive whole.

“After sampling this tasty appetizer, we wish Ms. Fasslebiner the best in future endeavors, culinary and artistic.”

Really great stuff!! I always prefer my Chopin with pears… ha ha. : )

  • Soxy Fleming:

thanks, and thanks for mentioning Chopin and pears because it isn’t here! I did something strange while creating this journal, hit a wrong button or something and half the images disappeared from my profile! And some of them were Fleur’s! I had better go fix this up!

  • Soxy Fleming:

I’ve changed browsers and they are all here! This is obviously a problem for Fleur to work out!

Ah, these are incredibly creative and appealing. So good to see them large size. And mmargot’s review is perfectly spot on!

  • Soxy Fleming:

thank you Jan. These in the end are my most saleable works! I have sold a fair few cards of these and have had some calendars printed which I need to take to places. I think I have now decided, however, not to sell the originals. I really wouldn’t get much for them (even though I think I could sell them) and I think they are worth a fortune! ….at least to me!

I agree. Keep the originals, unless, of course, you receive an offer you simply can’t refu$e!
