My dearest mm…at last a view and a comment…this place is so quiet! I worked late on a whole batch of these and decided to get up early this morning to glue them. Then off to the scanner which insists on making one of them crooked all the time….so I haven’t been able to upload it…that scanner has a mind of its own! the paper is straight, the preview is straight but the jpeg is tilted right over and I’ve redone it about 7 times!
I really do owe something to you for the chopin nocturnes one….it’s the first time I have cut out “windows”. I am glad you like them. I do love this one, I have been playing with that birdcage for a while and I like what it is doing here.

no there are no planned messages! sometimes I vaguely try to match the era of the portrait and objects to the piece of music…but I don’t actually mind anachronism. It’s all really about the ultimate feel of the piece, just an exercise in colour and shape…if I can then make a story out of it that seems convincing all the better! but the stories seem to have left me for the moment
