A recent trip to Cambodia… what an incredible place!!

The crowds for the sunrise are pretty intense.. a lot of people get up for this spectacle, however most people seemed to think that sunrise was the light coming (dawn i’ve always thought of as that) and left once it got light, ready to start their temple trekking for the day.. I hung around for an extra 20 – 30 minutes when eventually the sun rose up from behind the great temple of Angkor Wat.. It was worth sticking around for!

Unfortunately, properly exposed shots or HDR etc aren’t as nice due to the temple having large green scaffolding along the front so underexposed silhouette style results in a nicer looking shot.

Canon 400d + 18-55mm kit lens
