Auto-eulogy of a newborn wordsmith.

The Lord is calling me to rest in peace.
This vessel of my soul is sailing on smooth seas.
The journey of my life now stands complete.
Brought to culmination by this final feat.

I leave you words and verse and rhyme;
That you may know the passing of my time.
With such celerity the days do come and go on by,
and I am glad I had the words, the wings to fly.

My life’s accomplishments were mostly all for good.
God’s Grace and Blessings provided that I should
Have the capacities to carry out my life, His work,
and never visit Idleness; the place where Nothings lurk.

I’ve writ for me, I wrote for you, and now I write for all
These words that never ceased like a cascading waterfall.
Always the same is each in loneliness and solitude;
With friends and leadership they build the walls of fortitude.

These words are strong, well-formed for centuries to last.
The branches intricate and many, recounting stories of years past.
They’re starting young and green, these budding trees;
Seeking to be nurtured as they bend in slightest breeze.

I will chase the future without a backwards glance,
And all I will ever need is a single chance.

Let the floodgates open, that I may come forth.
With words the world will know my worth
And celebrate victoriously the Glory of my birth.
