From the top of Benevenagh Mountain in Co Derry the view opens up of the Foyle valley far below. Looking down the slice cut into the mountain by water and time gives perspective to just a how big the drop and how powerful nature is.
That “slice” is a few hundred feet deep but I couldn’t get that close to the edge to get a clear shot without taking the risk of going over myself.
Wow – that is a fearsome drop, and a long vista! Glad you were careful – don’t want to wreck the camera or yourself! Very nice capture. I find it difficult sometimes to show the depth of something like this. Great job.
Many thanks Mary. I love climbing about the hills as I’m half mountain goat lol
Stunning shot Gerry. This old goat has problems climbing over the doorstep, lol
Oh I have great difficulty walking but I’m as stubborn as an old goat and won’t let the pain stop me.Many thanks
Great capture… I love your composition!
Many thanks Cee. The composition was dictated to by me having to take a tight hold on the grassy slope and take the image using the other hand and hope for the best. lol
